Visiting Hours at Allegheny General Hospital

Coronavirus Policy Updates

We have changed our visitor policies. Please note, the information on this page may not be accurate.

At this time, patients are only allowed one visitor per day between the hours of 9:00 AM and 9:00 PM — see exceptions listed below. This visitor cannot switch out with another person and must always follow the visitor rules.

Exceptions from the 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM time-frame are made for patients under the age of 18; patients who have an intellectual, developmental or cognitive disability, communication barrier, or behavioral concerns; end-of-life patients; and labor and delivery patients.

Allegheny General Hospital has established guidelines for visiting, recognizing the role of family members and visitors in supporting and promoting the well being of patients, and to assist staff in their efforts to provide care in an environment of dignity compassion and respect.
